James has been training Brazilian Jiu jitsu since 2005 and is a product of Prof. Joao Pedro Dos Santos whom he trained under until he opened his own Submission Grappling academy in 2011 as a result of finding his true passion in No-Gi jiu Jitsu. In 2014 he and his gym became part of Aarhus Fight academy where he continued running his Submission grappling academy up until 2018, while also functioning as the head coach of both The colosseums MMA and Aarhus MMA grappling teams for several years. Shortly after stepping down as head coach and leaving his old academy James opened Kill Box Jiu Jitsu which he has been spearheading since. A former vivid and well known competitor James boasts many tournament victories alongside many of his students from both domestic and international competitions which his students now benefit from. James is very technical, highly methodical and structured in his approach to jiu jitsu which is thoroughly cemented not just by his expectations of his students dedication in general but more so their dedication to pursue perfection as he accepts nothing but perfection himself.
